"For all we know, this could be some sort of test set up by the Romulan Republic and Starfleet Command. Maybe it's to see our emergency preparedness. Now come on, let's-"
Of course they had been entirely too slow in getting anything done. Facing the ED doors, Eicran halted mid-speech as they slid open. That wasn't a patient, and they weren't wearing a Romulan Republic uniform. He raised both hands and took a tentative step forward in front of the other officers. He could almost feel his hands twitch, yearning for the familiar grip of a phaser or to at least be stood in front of the patients and visitors closest to the door.
"Commander T'Shai?" He spoke, his voice steady but in no means harsh. It was calm, soft, calculated; the way you might talk down an animal that was poised to pounce at you. "I'd like to ask what the meaning of this is, but first - we have civilians, injured, and unwell here. Can we please... Take this elsewhere, maybe?" It was very dumb wording, but it was all he could think of doing. Step one: protect civilians and patients. Step two: protect other members of staff. Somehow.
